would you say special k + all bran cereal + low fat milk is good for breakfast?

Anonymous

I always say that a good breakfast is a breakfast which keeps you satisfied until lunch (+ a snack between the meals like a banana).
I don’t know which type of special K you mean, but I usually don’t recommend it since the classic one doesn’t contain any fiber and thereby will make you hungry again in no time. All bran Original contains 20% sugar which isn’t too good either. If you feel full it’s nothing really wrong with eating eat, but I would rather recommend one wheat or whetabix. :)

how many net calories would you recommend after weight loss?

Anonymous

I think that you shouldn’t continue to count calories afterwards, but maybe between 1700-2200 kcal - it depends on if you’re working out that day or not, your BMR and AMR. I think that as long as you stay healthy and eat unhealthy in a moderate amount you shouldn’t think too much about it. :)

You seem to me so happy and self-confident. How do you stay so motivated and happy?

Anonymous

Thank you, sweetie.
I’m just like anyone else with bad days and I have my dips every now and then. Last one was actually today around lunch! I’m stressed out about school and everything that needs to be done this month. I let myself cry and then that was it. I can’t just sit and pity myself - that won’t make anything better. Instead I made a schedule in iCal for how I would plan my days until summer break. I’ve just finished my school work for today and I feel good about myself and that I have accomplished something today instead of stressing out about everything that needs to be done.

I’m trying not to over-think things too much since I just come up with things that pulls me down. I’m treating myself with whatever I want in moderation, don’t count calories and doing exercises that makes me happy and gives me energy! I think the key is to find something you love to do and don’t ban bad food completely. I define healthy as working out, eating healthy AND watch a movie with a bowl of ice cream.

… I need to work on making me answers shorter, haha… ;)
I hope that you found inspiration and motivation in this anyways xx

as far as i am aware, it's net 1200. because the body burns upwards of that just by living and having its organs functioning, so having 1200net (and that's really low), that's how a deficit happens. eating 1200 and then burning is not good because you'll go well below an average person's bmr, and 1400 then burning is only really safe if the burn is only 200kcal or less. just to stay safe. sorry, i don't want to seem nitpicky or rude. i just wanted to share.

I think you’re right. It makes perfect sense to me too. :)
I just referred to different shows like Biggest Loser and other weight loss shows where they ate 1200 kcal/day even though that they burned a massive amount of calories. As I said earlier this was only during a short time period and this is something just to recommend to those who are seriously obese.
I think it’s great that you share and erase possible question marks!

What kind of workouts do you do ? Any advice on inner and outer thigh workouts ? (:

I do exercises that makes me happy!
I love to dance and I go on two different classes/week - Zumba and Bodyjam (a more intense Zumba). I run 1-2 a week, but since it’s almost summer this will most probably increase. I’ve also decided to start doing poweryoga since it’s a really good way for you muscles to regain energy - I feel like I’ve been resting a week the following day!
Finally I also bike to and from school (4.5km/2.8 miles one-way)

When it comes to inner and outer thigh workouts - different exercises just using your own body like lunges, squats, are great since it build slender muscles and running. It burns fat and just as the previous exercises it won’t build bulky muscles.
Good luck! xx

I want to lose some kilos after a very hard time when I was fighting against bulimia. How could I start and stay strong? After one or two days I'm always binging. I feel so depressed, I don't want to leave my room and I don't want to see anybody, not even my boyfriend, because I increased so much weight. Why have I ever started dieting? Before I was much more thinner and happier.

You and I are very alike. It’s taken me a year to lose the weight I increased after my bulimia and right now I’m working on getting back to that happy girl I was before all of this crap.
It’s a fine line and having a past of ed’s makes losing weight really hard - I went too far about being healthy and even though I didn’t lose muscle weight I lost too much body mass and, well, it didn’t look good.
Try to not focus on calories. Eat healthy (I have recipes saved in the categories to the left and the tumblr undressedskeleton has a bunch of different delicious recipes and is a huge inspo!), workout regularly and to stay motivated, try different exercises until you’ve found the exercise that fits you and makes you happy!
Go on walks - You said that you didn’t even want to leave your room, but I’m sure you can find a route that’s not too public, if you think that walking around people is a problem. By time I’m sure you’ll start to feel better about yourself and I hope that you let your boyfriend back into your life. Open up to him and let him know what’s going on - a good boyfriend would appreciate to be a part of this. Maybe you even could go on a run together some day when you feel better about yourself?
I hope that you will feel better about yourself, that you stay strong and keep fighting ed’s - I know that you have it in you or else you wouldn’t have come as far as you already have!
I wish you all the best and I want you to know that I believe in you xx

I know how much you like exercizing, so I have a great tip for you. Have you ever heard of the "Pussy Cat Dolls Workout"? It's a DVD and it's easy to learn, makes a lot of fun and I'm absolutely sure you will stay motivated. I'm doing it for one hournper days/ five times per week, even if I normally hate doing sport. I'm doing it for one month before school and I got a better looking body. Maybe it helps you to get energie and motivation again. XOXO

Thank you, but I don’t have any problems with my motivation on working out. I workout 4-5 times/week as I’ve done before, but I’ve stopped thinking about how much calories I eat. Instead of 150 kcal I’d guess I eat around 500-600 kcal for breakfast, I don’t know haven’t counted it, haha (A huge improvement, if I may say so!). I still eat healthy, but I’m not too obsessed about it. :)
I’m happy to hear that you’ve found an exercise you love to do and that keeps you motivated! I love Zumba. :) xx

Hi! I'd like to ask for your help. I've lost so much weight in one go due to stress. Now that I've lost so much weight my butt's flatter than it was before and I was wondering if you could help me with exercises on how to tone my butt and give it a shape? Thank you!

Anonymous

Running will tone as well your butt as your legs, lunges, exercises using a pilates ball (google) and google! :)
Good luck! xx

I saw your post about your thighs and, dear, don't despair. You've worked hard in building yourself up mentally and bodily. I have been where you are and we both know that is no place to go back to. So, since you know what it was like before and how that made you feel, I can only say, keep your head up high and work again. Work hard and stay healthy. So long as you feel healthy and feel good about yourself that all that matters. Have a good day!

You’re post made me smile. Thank you for giving me more motivation and inspiring me that it is possible to reach my goal. You’re a wonderful person for taking the time to tell me this.
I hope you have a good day too! xx

Lots of love and strength to you through this hard time. I absolutely know how you feel. <3
